My 1st trip to Nowhere, AR (aka. Heber Springs) this year was supposed to be one of total relaxation and a time of celebration. For the most part it was....except for that one moment on Saturday.
I managed to do something I've never done before. While trying to remove my lure from the fishing net, I hooked myself. Nothing I did would make it come loose. The barb on the hook was digging in further. At this point, I'm attached to the fishing net and the lure!
So, off to the ER I went. I was totally embarrassed, but to the staff it was nothing. They see many people attached to hooks each year.
We've had quite a laugh and I've had to take a few ribbings about my carelessness. Just another story to add to the funny tales of my life.
