Funny Moments in Time

Mr. Maxwell (Max) is such a funny dog.  Some days he makes us laugh and others not so much.  But regardless of the situation, we still love him.


Max is scared of a few things in life.  Baths, showers, and loud noises.  You can ask him if he wants a bath or shower, and he will run and hide.  Needless to say, July 4th each year is a trying time for us.  Max goes nuts and shivers and shakes continuously as the fireworks go off.  He wants to be held to feel protected.


Sunday evening as Timmy was showering and Max was by himself in the living room, the neighbors decide to stage their fireworks in the road.  Then begins the continuous pops and explosions.  The next thing Timmy knows is that during all the commotion Max decided being close to daddy outweighed his fear of a shower, and there the dog stands in the shower with him.  Since he was there, Timmy had to give him a bath/shower too.  Funny dog we have.  


But as I was thinking, we can relate this to our spiritual life too.  God, the Father, Daddy, is there to hold us, keep us safe, and let us know everything is going to be ok no matter what storm or noise is going on around us.  We should desire to be close to Him at all times.
